![]() The National Supers Agency (NSA) recruits and employs supers. By around 1947, public opinion turned against supers due to the collateral damage caused by their crime-fighting activities. These superheroes are mostly engaged in fighting crime while keeping secret identities. The Parr family, including Incredible (with super strength), Elastigirl (with body elasticity), Violet (with invisibility and force fields), Dash (with super speed), and baby Jack-Jack (who possesses various powers seen in The Incredibles and Jack-Jack Attack), are a few examples of supers with unique abilities. Superheroes possess a wide range of superpowers, which play a crucial role in the plots of both The Incredibles movies. Incredible and Elastigirl have powers, and all their children inherit these abilities. Although various forms of media related to The Incredibles provide little insight into how supers acquire their powers, there is room for speculation. It appears that superpowers may be genetic, as Mr. Incredible's family has a history of possessing them. In an interview, Syndrome, the villainous mastermind, reveals his plan: "I'll give them the most spectacular heroics they've ever seen! And when I'm old and I've had my fun, I'll sell my inventions so everyone can be superheroes! Everyone can be super! And when everyone's super – no one will be." This quote highlights Syndrome's intention to create a world where supers are abundant and ordinary people become irrelevant.
